Dr Ruggeri
I graduated from the University of Missouri in 1997 and opened Healing Paws Veterinary Clinic in Springfield, Missouri in June of 2009. Healing Paws is a full service veterinary hospital that offers complete medical and surgical services including dentistry, digital radiography, pharmacy and acupuncture. I have a special interest and passion for pain management, dermatology and geriatric illnesses. My staff and I all volunteer and are involved in local rescue organizations and animal health issues. I spend my precious free time with my family which includes my two daughters Ryan and Jesse, four cats and three dogs. My other interests and hobbies include reading, staying in shape and watching movies. ~ Susan Ruggeri DVM
Practice Manager/veterinary technician Lauren Bacon
Lauren graduated in 2010 from Missouri State University with a BS in Animal Science. She has worked as a veterinary technician for 6 years. Lauren has been with Healing Paws since the day we opened and is an invaluable asset. She is my right hand and dedicated to providing excellent medical care to your pet as well as providing client education and instruction. Lauren has very little time away from work but spends this time with her significant other, Blake, two cats- Meow Meow and Hobbs and new kitten- Skitty.
Cheri worked as a groomer for thirteen years in the Springfield and Republic areas. She currently works with several rescue groups including Border Collie and Sheltie rescue. She is truly passionate about saving and finding homes for discarded and lost animals. Cheri spends her free time with her husband, Steve, five dogs, one cat and any number of foster dogs that luckily land in her home. She is very active in dog agility training and competition. She provides outstanding client service and is particulary knowledgeable about dietary recommendations.
Receptionist Sally Smith
Sally is the newest member or our team at Healing Paws. Her kindness and compassion to animals has made her an amazing team member. She provides excellent customer service and is always willing to go the extra mile for our clients and our patients.
Veterinary technician Josef Welsh
Josef is very passionate about getting the laundry done in one load. He provides excellent care and attention to our boarders and hospitalized patients. Josef's interests include horseback riding and competitions.
